Join us while we cover homeschooling basics, legal aspects, and types of homeschooling!  Seasoned homeschoolers encouraged to come!!We’d love for folks to briefly share their experience and homeschooling types.  Feel free to bring snacks to share.

OZOBOTS, Robots and Code! 
Where:  Duluth Public Library - Mt. Royal Branch, Blue Room
When:  Thursday, February 22nd
Time:  3:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Come meet the Ozobots. Learn how to code using paper and markers. Have fun watching the Ozobot move following the program that you created.  Registration is required. Please only register the individual child participating directly with the Ozobots.

Interactive art for ages 6 - adults!  Learn about Indian culture, history and celebrations through art.  Rangoli designs are created daily in India in order to bring good luck and happiness to the home. 

4-H Backyard Chicken / Poultry Basics
When:  Wednesdays, February 28th
Time:  4:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Where:  Lester Park Elementary (5300 Glenwood Street, Duluth)
Poultry are the best-they are fun, practical, affordable and exciting to show!  Come learn about raising and caring for chickens (and other fowl), plus showing poultry in 4-H!  We will have several stations staffed with seasoned 4-H kids (& parents)!  Come chick us out!  Questions?  Call/text Samantha 218-428-6321

Camp Bong - Grades 1 to 3
When:  March 23rd - 24th
Where:  Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center
Cost: $35 for youth and adult. $20 for second youth.

This event allows children the experience of camping out inside the historical center for a night of fun and education.

• Sit in the cock pit of a P-38 fighter plane 
• Have pizza with Vetrans 
• Games 
• Hands-on demonstrations of historic uniforms and equipment 
• Exploring the center

Please make sure to bring something soft to sleep on.  This event is for youth grades 1-3. We will have another Camp Bong in April for youth grades 4-6.  All youth must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.  More details here!

Details:  For high school and up!  Bring your own helmet - suggested donation of $3.  You can message them on Facebook or just show up!

These can be the most enjoyable and influential years you have with your teens. This 3-hour seminar will help you develop a comprehensive 7-12th grade plan. Starting with a strong academic foundation of high school courses and credits, you will learn how to individualize your students’ education based on their graduation goals. You will also learn how to create a transcript, include earning college credit in high school with PSEO and CLEP, and explore the guiding steps for career exploration. Parents and students alike will gain confidence and be encouraged to homeschool through high school as they see the big picture unfold and create a vision for these extraordinary years. Post Valentine's Day Party at Portman Senior Center
Friday, February 16th from 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.
Come celebrate valentine’s Day with the seniors at the Portman community center. There will be a Valentines exchange with the seniors, a sing-along, and bingo with prizes!  Kids can bring a valentine for each senior. There will be about 20 seniors attending.  There is a cap of 20 kids due to space.
